As Prostitutes Turn to Craigslist, Law Takes Notice: NY Times Tech 08/07 HW2

I just started accessing and utilizing Craig's list last year. What a find! A friend recommended using Craig's list instead of the local newspaper to sell my car. I got five hits the first day and the best part of all was that is was totally free. I sold that car within one week and got top dollar. A free site to advertise or to purchase just about anything. I know another friend who leased a great apartment without having to pay a real estate commission, a savings of over a thousand dollars.I guess this is the draw for just about anyone including prostitutes. Free advertisement and access to a huge Internet consumer group. Let's face it,prostitution has been around forever. It has proven to be a money making business throughout the centuries. Why wouldn't prostitutes utilize Craig's list? Any business wise service provider would. Legality though is another issue.
