Skip the Chip: RFIDs Could Cause Cancer/Wired 9/07
The first time that I read about implanted chips was to track you pet. I personally thought it was an amazing idea. Never again having to worry about a lost or stolen pet. This RFID gave the owner peace of mind and a sense of security. This article explains how this technology has been expanded to include medical history and credit card info for humans.Imagine the potential of this technology to be expanded to include your licence and even ATM. Sounds great never having to carry a wallet. Never having to worry about being robbed or ripped off. One problem The chips implanted under the skin are causing skin cancer. More research and study needed.I guess I will still carry my wallet for now.

It does sounds as a great idea. However, personally I would not like to have a chip on me. I believe there are more than one negative affect to it, not mentioning cancer. You have no privacy and you will be numbered somewhat creepy, don’t you think?
